Domestic Violence Proof
It is very important for your future that you have Domestic Violence Proof, or a Paper Trail of Abuse:
Journal every incident:
past and present, start with the date (mm/dd/yy), include how it started (called "trigger"), a detailed account of what was said and done, and how it ended.
Medical Records – See a trusted doctor and be honest...
File A Police Report - if needed.
Restraining Order – fill it in thoroughly with as much detail as possible.
I recommend putting all of these documents, or as many as you have in one file/binder as soon as you safely can. If possible, secretly keep your proof of domestic violence, and your
documents for an emergency
together at a trusted friend, or family member's residence.
