A Story of Hope

It has been 26 years since I was involved in a domestically abusive relationship...but sad to say, I recently, 2 months ago, received extensive counseling that helped me to overcome what happened to me.
The abuse has followed me into my marriage and has caused a rift between us, but God!
I experienced the gamut of all types of DV, but some good did come out of it. I wrote and had published my first book about DV. I teach classes, workshops and seminars about DV.
I know that the best thing that needs to happen is that we get everyone educated about this pandemic.
Also, my website is about healthy relationships. www.cywer1.com
My mother was the abusive person in our home, although she didn't abuse my sister. I did witness some extent of child abuse. DV is cyclical, and I am certainly a witness to that.
Now, my son has experienced abuse from his ex-girlfriend, physical, and my grand daughter.
We HAVE to get out there and educate people about this. Thank God that now this is a CRIME.
